The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it is actually alarmed about the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to SRD a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to read more service the area on a regular basis. The service position created for intervention encounters a superior influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it read more hard with the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to enable the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
